Good deal. Ends at 34 yrs of age in last season. This is the cost for ppg center. Any discussion of overpayment is ridiculous. In two years, the going rate will be 10m+ for this production like this.

Definitely. But Larkin is a Michigan boy who was never going to leave the Red Wings. Yzerman recently met with Larkin and he explained he wasn't trying to slight him. His long term goal is to surround him with the best players possible. Like he did with Stamkos in Tampa.

I'm guessing this contract is heavily front loaded.

And that would have been a bit much too. Guys never had a point per game season. I don’t see 8.7M there, but hey, good for him.

Lol neither are bad deals. This is the cost for ppg players. The JT hate is fun but all the JT trades posted on this site immediately plug him into their top line.

Only problem is it would've been for 7 years only, in Detroit it's 8 years. On the open market it would be equivalent to just about $10,000,000 per.
